Any chance of seeing this websites URL for a bit of promotion? I remember the days when it was a no go due to "conflicts of interest" and
"contracts" and stuff.
But seeing as theyre more then happy to take money for sponsorship and recognise them officially that, surely it shouldn't be a problem anymore? |

I think we would love too, but we can't put on any sponsors, other than what the PAFC requests. I'm not sure if their might be AFL issues as well,
but we are due to meet with someone from the club in the new year and we could only ask.
Other than that, we have a database of 500 which we promote TPFP thru our newsletters, and we will continue to do so in 2010. |

Port Adelaide Football Club
Champions of Australia
In 1910
It's 2010
Let's do it again!
(might be a bit ambitious - 2014 more likely - but it won't rhyme then) |

Round 1 - Giant black banner, with teal and white V. On the side facing the outer : It Starts Here : then with what I suppose will be the gameday
sponsor underneath, and on the side facing the members/players in giant red letters : WIN!

I agree with Scott re promotion of this website on the banners as it will make many more of our supporters aware of it - I never knew it existed until
a few months ago, nor did numerous other friends/family. I can't remember now how I came across this site but am so glad I did and now several
friends/family have also joined.
Of course, the necessary approvals would need to be sought so as not to offend anyone etc etc. I would suggest if the website can be mentioned that
it should be several times a season. |

From memory the issue was the club had contracts with telstra and afl saying they could not promote any other website. Personally I think they were
full of crap as they quite often had other companies websites on the banners and on the screens and stuff. And since then they have happily promoted
the website through official things. The reason IMO was more the club administration people and their ego's wanted their official site to get more
hits, they saw this website as a competitor.
Hopefully something can happen though. |

I don't have any problem with our site not being promoted on the banner and I fully understand that there may be issues with the AFL over doing that.
The AFL don't seem to like fan forums. The site URL is on some flags and banners, it's included in the PACSSC newsletters, gets on TV from time to
time, it's listed on the screen during match functions along with other Power Brokers & club sponsors, gets listed in the club magazine with
sponsors and has been promoted on the club website in an article and the enewsletter. It's a non-issue for me and I don't expect anything like match
day banner promotion. |

Still, it's not going to be a problem to ask, even if it's a once off or something. |

Banner making this Friday (5/3/2010) has been cancelled due to our game against the Western Bulldogs.
If we win, a special banner making night will be held next week, look out here for date, location and details. |

If we win Friday night the NAB Cup Grand Final banner will be made this Monday at Enfield from Midday.
If we lose, banner making will be as per normal on Friday night at Enfield from 6pm.
